Meet Our Team
Bill Blake
Executive Director
Bill is a graduate of Virginia Wesleyan College with a degree in Business Administration. He resides in Camden, NC. Prior to taking the helm of AAUW he served on numerous non-profit boards, volunteered abroad on mission trips and is very active in church, currently serving as the Pastor at Old Trap Methodist. He loves sports and outdoor activities as well as spending time with his six grandchildren.
Bill will be focused on “locals helping locals” as he works to strategically align the business community, donors and certified partner agencies across our 9-county region.

Alexandra Lekki
CCC Manager
Alexandra was born and raised in Upstate NY with her parents and 5 siblings. Her family spent many summers vacationing in Emerald Isle, NC before moving to Elizabeth City in June 2020. Alexandra loves the beach, spending time with her family, a good book, and weightlifting.
Alexandra is looking forward to continuing to build relationships both professionally and personally within the community. She hopes her background and degree in Human Services will be an asset to the United Way and is excited to give back through the many programs made available through the organization.

Dr. Nancy Whitfield
Executive Assistant
As someone who loves to learn, Nancy earned an MS in Management followed by a Doctor of Strategic Leadership degree. She completed her undergraduate studies at East Carolina University. Having spent much of her career in various non-profit, local government, and entrepreneurial endeavors, she is also a musician, author, and educator. Nancy’s eastern North Carolina roots come from grandparents on both sides of the family and, throughout her life, she has enjoyed spending time at her family’s home on the Outer Banks.
In this position, Nancy brings her ongoing desire to serve in ways that positively impact the lives of others

Lorri Barrett
Outreach Director
Lorri lives in Camden County with her husband Bill. She has 4 adult children and 3 dogs. She has a Jeep named "Storm" and enjoys Jeep events, traveling and working in her garden. Originally from New England and so her favorite food is “Lobsta”.
Lorri is looking forward to utilizing her years of experience to serve our community in new and exciting ways.
