Eula E. Reid is a District Court Judge in the First Judicial District. Prior to being elected in November, 2006 she was an Assistant District Attorney for the First District and prosecuted criminal cases from minor traffic violations to Capital Murder Cases. She received her Juris Doctor from North Carolina Central University in 1997 and her Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Elizabeth City State University. She is a member of the North Carolina State Bar association, District Court Judges Association and the First Judicial District Bar. She and her husband Melvin have been married over 30 years. They have two children, Amanda who is currently serving in the United States Army and Alex who is now a freshman at Campbell University. She also has one grandson, Ayden.
Julian Eure is the Managing Editor at the Daily Advance. He has been at the newspaper for 26 years. He is married to Robyn Eure and they have one daughter, Nicole Miller, and have 2 wonderful grandchildren.
A native and lifelong resident of Pasquotank County, Rhonda has been involved in business and community development through her life. Currently a broker with Long and Foster Real Estate, she previously served 16 years as President of the Elizabeth City Area Chamber of Commerce. She also served as Executive Director of the Arts of the Albemarle. Rhonda is a member of the Elizabeth City Morning Rotary Club, a founding member of Port Discover, a board member of the Committee of 100 & Vice President of the Elizabeth City Pasquotank County Tourism Development Authority.
