Our Role
The role of the Albemarle Area United Way in our community includes the following key functions:

Identifies the needs through an in depth assessment of current gaps in social services.

Brings community partners together to take action and to ensure programs and services are available for all people in our community.

Raises money with the help of hundreds of volunteers and donors across the Albemarle Area.

Invests resources where they will have the greatest impact. The 24 United Way supported agencies providing hundreds of programs in or throughout its nine county service area northeastern North Carolina were made possible because of generous donors to the United Way.
